With a simple thought of converting their barren piece of land at their farmhouse into a greener patch, Mukesh and Yash began planting saplings. In just a few years, the transformation of this once desolate landscape was remarkable. Then during the COVID-19 standstill while the world was in turmoil, nature flourished! The air became crisp, pollution vanished, skies cleared, and a serene peace enveloped the surroundings, allowing the natural flora and fauna to flourish undisturbed. Observing this unusual renewal of the natural balance in their environment, Mukesh and Yash were inspired to establish Eco Monks in October 2020. Their vision extended beyond mere greenery, imagining a city where lush foliage, fragrant blossoms, and wildlife thrived together with urban development. Their passion was infectious, spreading rapidly among family and friends, and igniting a diverse community of volunteers united by their love for the environment. More than just strategically planting forests to restore local ecosystems, Eco Monks aims to educate, spread awareness about conservation through school visits and community outreach, and partner with environmental NGOs and corporate engagement. By fostering environmental stewardship and engaging wider communities, they aim to create sustainable, thriving forests. This will benefit biodiversity conservation, mitigate climate change, and enhance the well-being of future generations.  Their efforts have resonated deeply, inspiring the youth – tomorrow’s leaders, to embrace and protect the natural world.
